Maori week four
Whatumoana
Whatumoana means bravery. Being brave is important because you can move forwards, try new things and stick up to people and for people. It is easy to stick up to your enemies but it takes a lot of bravery to stick up to your tai. Bravery is another form of whakamanawa. When you are brave, you are taking something on. Like when you whakamatua something new you are being brave. One occasion I had to be brave was when I started school and had to be brave and meet new people.
