THE TOKI POUNAMU FILM FESTIVAL

Toki Pounamu
FILM FESTIVAL
Today the senior school went to the regent
theatre to watch the Toki Pounamu film
festival. The toki pounamu film festival is
where lots of west coast schools make short
2-3 minute films about a certain topic .This
year the topic was ‘our place’. later on lots
of schools on the west coast that have made
films come together and watch through
most of the films.

My personal favourate film of them all was
the Crime Report film. I enjoyed the film
because it was really unique. They have
used lots of cool visual effects, like slo-mo
for when they were chasing the bank robber.
It had really  good transitions. They put a lot
of effort into making this film, it would have
taken them quite a while to get all of that
done.
There was a lot of editing for this film like
having the scene change subtitle ‘meanwhile’.
This is a really good film and a lot of work
has gone into it and there is not much that
they need to improve on but when they are
chasing the robber i think that they could
use less slo-mo and that they could put
some more effort into acting out the scene.
But for this being their first time making
a movie it was really good.

Thank you for reading this film review on
